Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
This Epilog Helix laser cutter was originally manufactured in 2008. I purchased the machine in December of 2015 after it had been 100% fully refurbished by Epilog. All major parts were replaced at that time including the laser tube. Since December 2015 this machine has been lightly used (less than 800 hours of cut or engrave time) and maintained in excellent working condition (I have noticed no reductions in laser power or working condition). This machine has never been used for full time manufacturing or production.
It has been primarily used only for wood cutting or engraving, has not been used for any toxic materials, and has never had a fire. This machine has never been operated at 100% power or 100% speed in order to preserve the life of the laser tube and servo motors. All components of the machine have been thoroughly cleaned including the honeycomb cutting bed. No repairs of any sort are currently needed and the machine is in great working condition. There should be plenty more life on this machine and the included laser tube, you will not find a comparable machine in better condition other than directly from the manufacturer (for a considerably higher price). This is a medium to high power CO2 laser and it will cut and engrave a wide variety of materials.

Please inquire if you are interested or if you have any questions. Thank you! Comments directly from Epilog on maintenance and replacement parts: "A recharge for a 75 watt is about $2200. That is in 3-5 years and the warranty is for 2 years on both the original and the recharged laser. I will say that I have had my 60 watt and the tube is 5 years old and it is still going strong.
The servo motors rarely go out, however the cost of the X axis Motor is $185 and belt cost is $15, which again doesn't usually go out as it is made from Kevlar, but may fray after many years of use. The vector grid replacement cost is about $200 but they are usually cleaned and not replaced. The lens only is about $125 and the full lens assembly is $325. We have not seen a fan go out on an Epilog so we do not have pricing on that. Other things that may need to be replaced down the line are the mirrors, which run $35 and the flex cable which runs $25.
All of these parts are at our Manufacturing warehouse in Golden Colorado and can be overnighted to you. Please understand also that these are today's prices and may change. The systems are field repairable meaning that you will not need to have anyone come to fix it for you. However, should you choose to we do have a factory trained and certified technician in our office that can help with any questions related to repair or maintenance. He can also come to your office and help with repairs, if needed. Overall, the long term cost of owning an Epilog is very low simply because of how well they are built."
