Hpc LS6540 Laser Engraver Cutting Machine 65x40 Bed, Uprated 60W Tube, Like 6840

This was bought as a reserve machine for us, as we are running two newer lasers day to day (a 40w Radecal Puremini 50x30 and a 50w Boxford BL350 50x30) so this HPC was on standby. Ended up never really needing to use it and now its just in the way! It came from a company called WSM Workshop Safety & Maintenance, who install and maintain schools DT labs. This one had come out of a school. It was maintained by them during its life, a very clean machine that has obviously been well looked after, it has their PAT test stickers on for example from 2017.

This machine has the upgraded 60W tube. I have cleaned and checked the tube exit lens, all mirrors and the focus lens, all are clear and clean and perfectly in order. The alignment seems to be spot on. The CO2 tube is in excellent condition, dated 2015 but still firing perfectly. I have power tested it at 58 watts, and I am happy to demonstrate this to you.

It cuts nice and hard and engraves dark on wood, probably better than our two daily machines that have tubes a year or two old. Note this is the 6540 model, not the current 6840 model HPC sell at around £5500. Bed is 65x40cm instead of 68x40cm and it doesnt have the pass-through flap at the front. Apart from that I think they are the same. It has the required USB dongle for your laptop.

I have downloaded LaserCut 5.3 easily onto a modern Windows 10 laptop, and it worked with this laser perfectly after a couple of tweaks to settings. I also downloaded it to an old Windows 7 laptop, which works fine too. Happy to give you all the links and helpful forum posts. Note there is no design software included, so you will need CorelDraw or something similar. Anything that can export a file you can then import into LaserCut, eg plt, dxf, ai etc.

It also accepts bmp and jpg raster files but I have no experience of working with these, we have only ever processed vector graphics. It has an external extraction fan and air compressor, and an on-board water tank/pond pump in the base cabinet. If you are interested in a fume extraction machine, I have a couple of them I will also be selling (BOFA AD350 and Purex Alpha). This week, even though it was still in good clean condition I have recommissioned it and cleared and flushed the water pipes (got some limescale out), the air assist tubing was also blown through, the Z height adjustment was greased, the rails cleaned and oiled, laser head stripped, cleaned the tube and everything else I could get to, now pretty spotless. It is all set up in my workshop waiting to demonstrate.

The only items not working are the water flow sensor (this is still present but has been bypassed, I believe failure is a common issue on these) and there was once a strip light under the gantry which is now missing (wiring still in place if you want to stick another one on). I would much prefer you to come view it, see it in operation and how it is set up. Bring a laptop and we can get that set up. After this, I may be able to deliver within an hour or two, I have a van with a taillift, but please check your location with me BEFORE PURCHASING and you will need to pay in advance for the machine and any agreed delivery cost. If I deliver, I can drop it kerbside and its on castors so I can help you get it inside within reason (it's about 120Kg so I'm not lifting it over steps or going upstairs!).

NB this is 72 cm front to back, so should fit through most standard doorways. 140cm long and 125cm tall. If you want some help connecting it all up, eg water system, ventilation etc and getting it running, I may be able to do that, please check with me for price and availability BEFORE buying. I'm an experienced user, but not a 'professional' and I am not familiar with every quirk of LaserCut or the DSP of this machine (which are different to our daily machines). Like I say, it was a reserve for us and we have hardly used it!

The machine is sold as seen, tried and tested, so it is best if you view it and have a demo. No warranty and no returns. I would advise you have an electrician check this and PAT test it before use.
