Super rare new Herms New York engravable graft complete I am by no means an expert on this machine but I do know that my father was a great Craftsman he used to make brass beds and Brass kaleidoscopes he used this machine to make brass plaques for the items he sold people's names and dates of production everything he made was handmade this lot includes the new Herms engrave o graph I do not know exactly how to use this but I know my dad used it up until his death so I'm sure it is in working order and appears to be complete without any broken parts there is a few spots of paint wear and paint chipping but other than that everything is good no broken knobs no missing screws everything appears to be complete I did turn some of the knobs and everything moves back and forth as it should it is a little Dusty from sitting in my garage I apologize it also comes with a black hard plastic case labeled new Herms New York on the outside inside as pictured it has letters and numbers in regular font it is missing a couple numbers and a couple letters I believe it is missing the D and the K as far as the letters and the numbers I think it is missing the number 3 the number 5 and the number 6 everything else is there it also does have a space and also it looks like a semicolon and quotation marks also there is a couple pieces of just nothing on the brass plate I don't know if these are to be used as spacers or what also the wooden box is complete and that comes with the number one through 0 it also has cursive fonts a through Z it also does have semicolon quotation marks dashes Etc I believe it has upper and lower case of each letter and I believe the M also has the sea that you can use to for Irish last names also it appears I think they're jigs as you see the black two pieces of like plastic and the tumor room pieces also it has two extra tighteners where I believe for where you put your letters in I think that's where they go because the part where you would put your plaque material those tighteners already there also it has two little engraver type ends of some sort and I believe it has it looks like a crayon and it says monograph Phil new Herms but it looks appears to be almost like a cran I'm sure you know way more about this item than I do I'm just trying to describe it as best as I can I know it is valuable as I took it into a local shop and they eyes lit up as soon as I brought it in and they tried to offer me $200 right away I decided to bring it home and do a little research and I see that these are going for four and five hundred on classifieds board I'm not trying to get rich but I am trying to get a fair value for it I know my dad took great pride in this machine and used it a lot over the years he always took care of his equipment as well so this is a pretty decent-sized lot like I said you're getting the machine you're getting the black case of letters which is missing two letters and a couple numbers you're also getting the complete set of cursive letters with numbers upper and lower case also the few extra parts for the machine and the monograph fill cran type pencil if you have any other questions I will try to answer but as far as about the machine I really do not know a whole lot about it except that I remember when I was little my dad had this I believe he purchased it new I know he had it since probably the late 70s the early 80s like I said there is a couple spots where the paint has chipped off but there is no cracks no brakes on appears to be in good working condition if you want to own this make me a reasonable offer I will end the auction early for that so as you can see I'm accepting offers if not I guess happy bidding and good luck this is a 3-day auction I'm not making anything on shipping I just been trying to cover my expenses I'm sorry I cannot ship this to California and fear that I will lose money on shipping I have 100% feedback so bid with confidence thanks for looking I only ship to Continental us no international shipping.
