This is a small, single ratio, flat engraving machine with a 3:1 reduction and a distance between the letter stop clamps of 6”. It will produce up to a 2” line of engraving using standard size 1-1/4” letter fonts. No fonts are included in this sale, although there are many such sets to choose from on classifieds board and elsewhere. The only indication of use that I can see is some scratching on the letter tray from someone dragging the stylus back and forth, and the original owner cared enough about it to replace the rubber protective cover on the scriber point. When I was looking for a manual engraving machine, I ended up buying several big boxes of stuff, including this machine and 3 others, to get what I wanted.
